Step 1: Rinse
Warm water and mild soap after each use. Never put your knife in the dishwasher; the harsh detergents and jostling will damage the edge and handle.
Step 2: Dry
Towel dry immediately. Don't leave it wet or in the sink; even stainless steel can develop spots if left damp.
Step 3: Store
Use a knife block, magnetic strip, or blade guard. Never toss it loose in a drawer; it dulls the edge and is a safety hazard.
That's it. No special maintenance, no fussy rituals. Your Shimeru knife is designed for daily use, and with these three steps it'll stay razor-sharp for years.
Every knife comes in its own presentation box, ready to give as a gift.

Sold OutIts a decent knife. Gets the job done. The pattern is nice. I dont know, for sixty bucks I guess I expected to be more impressed. It's fine. Not bad, not amazing.
Ok so I was a little nervous buying a Japanese knife online but this one is legit. The balance is great, feels good for the rocking motion when chopping herbs. The Damascus pattern is beautiful, way nicer than the pictures. It arrived super fast and was packaged really well. Massive upgrade from my old department store set.
This is a solid knife. The Damascus finish is pretty. I think for the price its very good. I just wasn't completely wow'd, but I'd definitely recommend it to a friend.
I've had German knives my whole life. This is a different experience entirely. So much sharper and easier to control. Love it.
So I'm not a pro chef or anything but I love to cook. This knife makes me feel like one. The rocking motion for chopping herbs is so smooth.
Honestly looks like it should cost twice as much. The layered steel pattern is stunning. Cuts great, looks great.
It's a decent knife. Cuts well and looks nice. I guess I was expecting to be more wowed for the price? It's good, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't feel like a huge step up from my other chef's knife that was half the cost. The edge is sharp but I've had to hone it already after a few weeks of light home use. It's fine, just not the miracle worker some reviews made it out to be.
So I got this knife to replace my old German one that was just a brick. The difference is insane. The blade is so thin and sharp, it just glides through tomatoes and onions like nothing. I've had it for a month and the edge is still perfect, haven't had to sharpen it once. The pattern on the steel is really cool looking too, my wife even commented on it. Came in a nice box, felt really premium.
Love the performance and the look. It is a tad heavier than I expected based on other Japanese knives I've held. Not a dealbreaker, just took a meal or two to get used to.
Really nice knife overall. The sharpness is fantastic and it looks amazing. My only minor thing is the handle shape, it's a little more oval than I'm used to. Took a day or two of use to get comfortable with it, but now it's fine. Definitely recommend it, just be aware the grip feels different if you're coming from a Western knife.
Knife is sharp, but the edge dulls too fast.
An excellent knife that has made cooking more enjoyable.
The handle is comfortable and provides a great grip
This knife is a great addition to my kitchen. Itβs sharp, sturdy, and handles a variety of tasks with ease. The blade is well-crafted and offers good precision, though it does require regular sharpening to stay in top condition. The handle is comfortable and provides a secure grip, but I think it could be slightly more ergonomic for better comfort during long cooking sessions. Despite these minor drawbacks, itβs a great knife thatβs well worth the investment.
Iβve never had a knife that cuts as cleanly and precisely as this one. Itβs a game-changer in the kitchen.
This knife has turned meal prep from a chore into a pleasure. Itβs so well-balanced and sharp.

The handle is well-designed and comfortable, though I think it could be slightly more cushioned for better comfort during extended use. Bought this for my husband who's been getting into cooking more. He absolutely loves it. He says it's the sharpest knife he's ever used, makes quick work of vegetables and meat. The handle feels solid in his hand, not cheap at all. For the price, I think it's a steal. He uses it every day.
