Step 1: Rinse
Warm water and mild soap after each use. Never put your knife in the dishwasher; the harsh detergents and jostling will damage the edge and handle.
Step 2: Dry
Towel dry immediately. Don't leave it wet or in the sink; even stainless steel can develop spots if left damp.
Step 3: Store
Use a knife block, magnetic strip, or blade guard. Never toss it loose in a drawer; it dulls the edge and is a safety hazard.
That's it. No special maintenance, no fussy rituals. Your Shimeru knife is designed for daily use, and with these three steps it'll stay razor-sharp for years.
Every knife comes in its own presentation box, ready to give as a gift.

Sold OutIt's a decent knife. Gets sharp. The Damascus pattern is nice looking. I don't know, for sixty bucks I guess I expected to be a little more wowed. It's fine. Does the job. Not sure it's that much better than my old Mercer I had.
Ok so I got this knife about a month ago and it's just fantastic. I use it for pretty much everything now, from slicing up veggies to trimming brisket. The edge is still crazy sharp, I've only had to strop it once. The pattern on the blade is beautiful, looks way more expensive than it was. My old Henckels feels like a butter knife now.
It's a decent knife. Does the job. The damascus finish is pretty and it came sharp. I guess I was expecting to be more wowed for sixty bucks? It's good, but not amazing. I use it and it works, but I don't reach for it over my other go-to. Handle feels a bit slick if my hands are damp.
Cant believe how good this knife is for the price. The Damascus finish is stunning and it performs even better than it looks. Slicing up a brisket was effortless.
Bought this for my husband who's been getting into cooking more. He loves it. Said the handle feels really solid and the balance is perfect for the rocking motion when he's chopping herbs. Came in a nice box too, felt like a high-end gift. He's used it every day since.
Ok so I'm not a professional chef or anything but I cook a lot at home. This knife just makes everything easier and more enjoyable. The weight is good, not too heavy not too light. Cuts through chicken breast like butter.
The knife is okay, but it doesnβt hold up to heavy use.
Iβm very happy with this knifeβitβs sharp, comfortable, and a great value.
I couldn't ask for a better knife; it's simply perfect.
Itβs decent, but the handle is too uncomfortable for long use.
The knife was delivered ahead of schedule, and the quality is just outstanding.
This knife maintains its sharpness even after heavy use.
This knife has a nice balance and sharpness. Itβs been a reliable tool in my kitchen for all sorts of tasks.
I appreciate the quality of this knife. Itβs sharp, well-balanced, and seems built to last. The edge retention is decent, though not as long-lasting as I had hoped. The handle is comfortable to hold, with a good grip, but I think it could be improved with a slightly more contoured design to better fit the hand. The knife performs well in a variety of cutting tasks, making it a reliable tool in the kitchen. However, I do wish the blade maintained its sharpness a bit longer between sharpenings.
This knife is exactly what I was looking for. Itβs sharp, well-made, and handles a variety of kitchen tasks with ease. The blade is great for all sorts of tasks, from slicing to chopping, though I did find that it needs regular honing to stay sharp. The handle is comfortable and provides a good grip, though it could be a bit more ergonomic for better comfort during long cooking sessions. Despite these small issues, itβs a solid knife thatβs become a staple in my kitchen.
Iβm satisfied with the quality of this knife. Itβs sharp, easy to handle, and seems built to last.
This knife is worth every cent; the quality is phenomenal.
Worth every cent for this level of quality
This knife has been a great addition to my kitchen. Itβs sharp, well-balanced, and makes cooking much easier. The blade is great for all sorts of tasks, from slicing vegetables to cutting through meat, though it does need regular sharpening to maintain its performance. The handle is comfortable, but I think it could benefit from a slightly more ergonomic design for better long-term use. Despite these minor issues, itβs a great knife thatβs become an essential tool in my kitchen.
The design is stunning, and it performs beautifully
This knife has quickly become a favorite in my kitchen. Itβs sharp, well-balanced, and a pleasure to use.
Iβve been using this knife for a few weeks, and itβs quickly become my favorite. Itβs sharp, well-balanced, and a joy to use. The blade is precise and cuts through ingredients cleanly, though I noticed it does require frequent honing to stay sharp. The handle is well-designed and comfortable, though I think it could be slightly more cushioned for better comfort during extended use. Overall, itβs a high-quality knife that performs well in the kitchen, even if it does need a bit of maintenance.
Itβs sharp, but the blade seems prone to nicks and chips.
This knife is a great addition to my kitchen. Itβs sharp, sturdy, and handles a variety of tasks with ease.
This knife arrived in great condition and has been a solid tool for everyday cooking tasks. The edge retention could be better, but it gets the job done.
