It's a decent knife. Gets the job done. The damascus finish is nice looking. I guess I was expecting to be more wowed for the price. It's sharp, but so was my cheaper one. It's fine.
Got this as a gift for my husband who loves to cook. He was really impressed with the damascus look and how light it is. He says it's perfect for the santoku rocking motion on the board. He did mention he wishes it was maybe an 8 inch instead of 7, just a personal preference for his big hands. But he uses it all the time so it's a win.

My minor gripe is I wish the blade was a little taller from spine to edge, just feels like a tiny bit more knuckle clearance would be nice.
