Step 1: Rinse
Warm water and mild soap after each use. Never put your knife in the dishwasher; the harsh detergents and jostling will damage the edge and handle.
Step 2: Dry
Towel dry immediately. Don't leave it wet or in the sink; even stainless steel can develop spots if left damp.
Step 3: Store
Use a knife block, magnetic strip, or blade guard. Never toss it loose in a drawer; it dulls the edge and is a safety hazard.
That's it. No special maintenance, no fussy rituals. Your Shimeru knife is designed for daily use, and with these three steps it'll stay razor-sharp for years.
Every knife comes in its own presentation box, ready to give as a gift.

SaleBought this as a gift for my dad who cooks a ton. He said it's the sharpest knife he's ever used and he's been using it every day since. I tried it when I visited and the thing just falls through tomatoes like nothing. Great price too for how nice it feels. Actually came in a nice box which was a bonus.
I've been using this santoku for about a month now, mostly for veg prep and slicing up chicken breasts. The flat profile makes it so nice for chopping through a pile of onions or potatoes without that rocking motion you need with a chefs knife. Blade is stupid sharp out of the box and has held its edge well so far with just a honing rod. My old knife was a cheap Target one and this is a huge step up. Handle is comfortable and the balance feels right. Only thing is it's a little heavier than I expected but honestly I like that now.
Its a decent knife for the price. Cuts well enough but I wasnt blown away or anything. The handle feels a little cheap compared to my other knives and the blade seems ok but Ive had better edge retention from others in this price range. Maybe the hype got me expecting more.
Bought this as a gift for my sister who's really into cooking and she absolutely loves it. The blade is razor sharp out of the box, cut through some butternut squash like it was butter. She said the handle feels really solid and comfortable too. Came in a nice box which was a plus.
Love the simple look of it. No fancy designs, just a solid tool. Does exactly what it's supposed to do, and does it well.
I've had more expensive Japanese knives and this one holds its own for sure. The steel takes a great edge and seems to hold it. Fantastic value.
Bought this for my husband who loves to cook. He's been using it every day and says it's a massive upgrade from the old block set we had. He specifically mentioned the flat profile is great for chopping herbs and the edge is super precise. Came really well packaged too.
So I was a little skeptical about the price but this knife is legit. I've had it for a month and it's still crazy sharp, I use it for everything from chopping veggies to slicing up chicken breasts. The balance is perfect, feels great in the hand. Honestly my favorite knife in the drawer now.
Ok so I've been wanting a proper santoku for a while and this one did not disappoint. The handle feels solid, not cheap at all. I've used it to break down a whole chicken and it handled the bones around the joints just fine, still sharp. The color is a nice dark finish, looks way more expensive than it was. Arrived next day which was a bonus.
Arrived super fast which was a nice bonus. First use was on a bunch of herbs and it minced them perfectly without bruising. Really impressed.
