Step 1: Rinse
Warm water and mild soap after each use. Never put your knife in the dishwasher; the harsh detergents and jostling will damage the edge and handle.
Step 2: Dry
Towel dry immediately. Don't leave it wet or in the sink; even stainless steel can develop spots if left damp.
Step 3: Store
Use a knife block, magnetic strip, or blade guard. Never toss it loose in a drawer; it dulls the edge and is a safety hazard.
That's it. No special maintenance, no fussy rituals. Your Shimeru knife is designed for daily use, and with these three steps it'll stay razor-sharp for years.
Every knife comes in its own presentation box, ready to give as a gift.

Sold OutBought this as a birthday present for my wife and she loves it. Shes been cooking way more since I gave it to her. Says the edge on it is incredible and she can slice tomatoes paper thin without squishing them. The handle feels solid in her hand and the blade looks really unique with that hammered texture. I used it to cut some lemons for drinks and it was so easy. Really happy with this purchase.
So I've had this knife for about three weeks now and honestly it's changed how I feel about cooking. The balance is perfect for my hand and it absolutely flies through onions without making me cry. I've been using it on everything from chicken breast to bell peppers and it just glides through. The hammered finish looks really cool too, had a buddy over who asked if it was some kind of custom job. Came in a nice little box with some packing stuff, no issues there. Total upgrade from the cheap set I had before.
Really nice knife overall. The blade is super sharp and the finish is beautiful. My only thing is the handle shape took a day or two to get used to, its a bit more oval than I'm used to. But now its fine and I use it all the time. Definitely a good buy.
It's a good knife, don't get me wrong. The steel seems fine. But the fit and finish isn't quite as refined as I hoped. There's a slight gap where the handle meets the tang. It doesn't affect performance, just aesthetics. Does what it's supposed to.
Ok so I was a little nervous buying a knife online but this thing is legit. The hammered finish looks way more expensive than it was. I've been using it for everything, veggies, meat, you name it. The edge is still crazy sharp after a month of daily use. Came in a nice box too.
I have mixed feelings. The knife is sharp and looks nice. But it's a bit too light for my taste, I prefer something with more heft. It works well for vegetables but I don't love it for meat. It's fine, just not my favorite.
Got this for my husband who loves to cook. He was so surprised, said the balance is perfect and it's super sharp right out of the box. He's been showing it off to everyone. Came in a nice box too which made it feel like a real gift.
Positive first impressions. It's a little heavier than I expected for a kiritsuke, but honestly I think I prefer the heft now for chopping. The edge is fantastic, glides through tomatoes like nothing. Wish they made a 10 inch version, I'd buy that in a heartbeat.
I was a little nervous buying a knife online but this one is legit. The edge is crazy sharp, I barely have to push to cut anything. The handle feels solid and secure in my hand. Definitely a pro level knife for a way better price.
It works, but the knife feels a bit flimsy.
