Step 1: Rinse
Warm water and mild soap after each use. Never put your knife in the dishwasher; the harsh detergents and jostling will damage the edge and handle.
Step 2: Dry
Towel dry immediately. Don't leave it wet or in the sink; even stainless steel can develop spots if left damp.
Step 3: Store
Use a knife block, magnetic strip, or blade guard. Never toss it loose in a drawer; it dulls the edge and is a safety hazard.
That's it. No special maintenance, no fussy rituals. Your Shimeru knife is designed for daily use, and with these three steps it'll stay razor-sharp for years.
Every knife comes in its own presentation box, ready to give as a gift.

SaleOk so i was a little nervous ordering a knife online but the packaging was super secure and it arrived in perfect shape. The finish on the blade is incredible, like a mirror with those swirly patterns. Iβve been using it daily for about a month now and the edge is still wicked sharp. Itβs got a nice weight to it, not too heavy. Does great with veggies and boneless meats. My only tiny thing is itβs a bit long for my small kitchen but thatβs on me for getting the 9.5 inch. Still love it.
Got this as a birthday present for my husband and he is obsessed. The damascus pattern is gorgeous and its crazy sharp out of the box. Heβs been using it for everything from slicing fish to chopping herbs. Way nicer than our old Henckels set.
Great blade for the moneyβslices through tomatoes like butter. I was hoping it'd be a little lighter for all-day prep work, but it's got some heft which actually helps with chopping hard veggies. Wish they made a 7-inch version for my wife but this size works for me. Overall a solid buy.
Really nice knife and it cuts like a dream. Only thing is the handle feels a bit on the small side for my hand, maybe I'm just used to bigger western handles. But the blade itself is super sharp and it came in a nice box. Would recommend if you got smaller hands or like a more traditional feel.
So I've been cooking with this knife for about a month now and holy cow it's sharp. Like scary sharp out of the box. The damascus pattern is really pretty, I wasn't sure if it'd be noticable in person but it totally is. My wife thinks Im crazy for spending a hundred bucks on a knife but after using it to chop up a whole butternut squash with zero effort she gets it now. The handle feels really good in my hand too, not slippery at all. Way better than the old Chicago Cutlery set I had.
So I've been wanting a kiritsuke for a while and finally pulled the trigger on this one. Honestly, it's a beast. The Damascus finish is gorgeous, catches the light real nice. It's a little longer than what I'm used to but now I love it for slicing big stuff like roasts. I made a brisket over the weekend and this thing cut through it like butter. Handles great, feels balanced. Would definitely buy again.
I got this to replace an old chef's knife that was just not holding an edge anymore. First thing I did was slice through an onion and it was like the onion barely even noticed. The blade is so thin and sharp. Also the pattern on it is really beautiful, my wife even commented on it. It came in a nice box too. Used it for about a month now on everything from chicken to carrots to bell peppers and it still feels as sharp as day one. For 100 bucks I really cant complain.
Its a decent knife for sure, really sharp out of the box and the handle feels nice in the hand. But for a hundred bucks I guess I just expected a little more. The blade is pretty thin which is fine for most stuff but feels a bit fragile when I'm cutting through something tougher like a squash. Also the edge seems to dull a bit faster than my old Shun, not a huge deal but something to note. Its good, just not great for the price.
Got this for my husband and I think he's more in love with it than me lol. The blade is gorgeous, that Damascus pattern is something else. He's been using it for about a month now and says it's the sharpest knife he's ever owned. Cuts through tomatoes like theyre butter, no effort at all. Came wrapped up real nice too, like a little gift box situation.
Ok so I was a little nervous ordering a knife online but this thing is legit. The handle feels great in my hand, not too heavy. I've used it almost daily for a month now and it's still just as sharp as day one. Makes prepping dinner way faster. The damascus pattern is super cool, looks like wood grain almost.
So I finally upgraded from my old block set and wow. This knife is stunning. The pattern on the steel is even nicer in person, and it just glides through onions and peppers like they're not even there. My wife keeps telling me to stop staring at it and just cook.
It's okay. The handle feels a little cheap to me, not what I was hoping for. The blade is fine, cuts well enough. It's not bad, just not great. Probably wouldn't buy it again.
Really nice knife overall. The blade is super sharp and it looks amazing on my magnetic strip. My only thing is the handle shape is a little different than what I'm used to, it's a bit more oval. Took a few days to get comfortable with my grip, but I'm getting there. Definitely a great buy for the price.
Got this for my husband's birthday and he absolutely loves it. He's been using it for everything from slicing brisket to chopping herbs. Says the balance is perfect and it's way sharper than the German knife he's had for years. Came in a nice box too.
Itβs an average knife, nothing special about it.
Itβs okay, but the edge dulls faster than I expected.
The knife was shipped promptly, and itβs even better than I imagined. Razor-sharp and well-balanced.
A fantastic knife that combines sharpness with a comfortable grip, making meal prep easier.
Outstanding knife! Cuts like a dream.
Iβm very satisfied with this knife. Itβs sharp right out of the box and has a nice weight to it, making it easy to control.
This knife is a fantastic addition to my kitchen, with sharpness and style that stand out.
I received my knife much faster than anticipated. Itβs sharp, well-balanced, and beautifully designed.
This knife has exceeded my expectations. Itβs sharp, well-made, and makes cooking more efficient and enjoyable. The blade is precise and handles a variety of tasks with ease, though it does require frequent sharpening to maintain its edge. The handle is well-designed and provides a secure grip, but I think it could be slightly more cushioned for better comfort during extended use. Overall, itβs a reliable knife thatβs worth the investment, even if it does need a bit of upkeep.
This knife is a work of art! Razor-sharp and beautifully balanced.
Iβm impressed with how sharp this knife is. Itβs made cooking more enjoyable and efficient, allowing me to prep ingredients quickly and easily. The design is sleek and modern, and the knife feels well-balanced in hand. However, I did notice that the blade tends to dull a bit quicker than Iβd like, so it requires more frequent sharpening. The handle is comfortable, but I think it could benefit from a slightly more ergonomic design for better long-term use. Overall, itβs a great knife that delivers good performance, even if it needs regular maintenance.
