Step 1: Rinse
Warm water and mild soap after each use. Never put your knife in the dishwasher; the harsh detergents and jostling will damage the edge and handle.
Step 2: Dry
Towel dry immediately. Don't leave it wet or in the sink; even stainless steel can develop spots if left damp.
Step 3: Store
Use a knife block, magnetic strip, or blade guard. Never toss it loose in a drawer; it dulls the edge and is a safety hazard.
That's it. No special maintenance, no fussy rituals. Your Shimeru knife is designed for daily use, and with these three steps it'll stay razor-sharp for years.
Every knife comes in its own presentation box, ready to give as a gift.

SaleBought this for my dad for his birthday and he's been using it daily. Says it cuts through chicken bones like nothing. The stainless is holding up great, no rust spots even though he's not great about drying it right away. Really nice looking too.
Got this cleaver a few weeks back and man it's sharp. Used it on everything from onions to breaking down a pork shoulder, no issues at all. The blade feels really solid, nice weight to it without being too heavy. The oil coating thing had me a little confused at first but I just wiped it off and it's been fine since. Definitely a step up from my old cheap cleaver.
Got this for my husband for his birthday, he's been wanting a real cleaver for ages. This thing is a beast, chops through chicken bones without even trying. The blade is super sharp out of the box and they put some kind of oil on it so it won't rust which I thought was a nice touch. We already used it for a pork shoulder and a ton of veg. Way better than the $20 one we had from the grocery store, feels like a tool I'll have for 20 years.
Really solid knife. Sharp as hell and well balanced, but it's a bit heavier than I expected so my wrist gets sore after a long prep session. The handle is fine but I wish it was contoured a little differently. Still, for the price this is a great cleaver and I'd buy it again.
So I got this to replace my old cheap cleaver and wow, the difference is insane. This thing is a beast for chopping through chicken bones and pork ribs, just goes right through. The edge it came with was super sharp out of the box, and it's held up for a couple months now with just a quick hone. For the price, you really can't beat it. It's my go-to knife for any heavy prep now.
It's an okay knife. Does what it's supposed to do. I guess I was expecting a bit more for a Japanese cleaver, it feels pretty standard. It's not bad, just not amazing.
Decent cleaver. Gets the job done chopping vegetables and boneless meat. I don't know, I'm not blown away. It's fine. Probably wouldn't buy it again but I'll use it.
Exactly what I was looking for. Not too big, not too small, and it has a great feel. A massive upgrade from my old department store knife.
Got this to replace my old heavy cleaver and its perfect. So much lighter and easier to control, makes chopping veggies a breeze. The edge is crazy sharp right out of the box.
This is a great knife, does exactly what a cleaver should. I've used it to prep veggies and portion meat and it's fantastic. I kinda wish it was maybe an 8 inch blade, just a little more length for bigger jobs, but that's just me being picky. For the money, it's a steal and I'd definitely recommend it.
