Step 1: Rinse
Warm water and mild soap after each use. Never put your knife in the dishwasher; the harsh detergents and jostling will damage the edge and handle.
Step 2: Dry
Towel dry immediately. Don't leave it wet or in the sink; even stainless steel can develop spots if left damp.
Step 3: Store
Use a knife block, magnetic strip, or blade guard. Never toss it loose in a drawer; it dulls the edge and is a safety hazard.
That's it. No special maintenance, no fussy rituals. Your Shimeru knife is designed for daily use, and with these three steps it'll stay razor-sharp for years.
Every knife comes in its own presentation box, ready to give as a gift.

SaleGot this for breaking down a couple of turkeys over Thanksgiving and honestly it handled like a dream. The blade is sharp right out of the box, stayed that way through the whole bird. The hammered finish really does help stuff not stick which surprised me. Handle feels solid in my hand, good grip even when my hands got a little greasy. The leather sheath is a nice bonus too, keeps it safe in the drawer. For fifty bucks this is a steal, way better than my old Dexter knife.
Got this knife to help with breaking down whole chickens for grilling season, and man its amazing. The hammered finish really does stop stuff from sticking which was my biggest pet peve with my old knife. Came sharp right out the box, like scary sharp. The sheath is a nice touch too, keeps it safe in the drawer.
Solid little butcher knife for the price. It handles beef and pork ribs pretty well, edge holds up decent. Only thing is the handle feels a bit slim in my hand but I got used to it after a few uses. Would have liked it maybe an inch longer but for $50 its a great buy for anyone who does some home butchery.
It's a decent knife for the price, does what it's supposed to do. The blade keeps an edge alright and the handle is comfortable enough. But itβs not anything super specialβI guess I expected a little more for fifty bucks. Works fine for basic butchery but I wouldnβt say itβs amazing.
Got this for breaking down ribs and whole chickens, and honestly itβs perfect. The blade is crazy sharp out of the box, stayed that way after a few weeks of heavy use. The hammered finish really does help meat not stick which I was skeptical about at first. Leather sheath is a nice bonus, feels quality. Big upgrade from my old Fibrox.
Solid little knife, does what it says. Used it on some pork ribs and it cut through clean no problem. Only thing is the handle feels a bit thin in my hand, took a couple days to get used to. But the blade holds an edge real good and the sheath is handy for storage. Would recommend if you need a compact butcher knife.
Got this for breaking down whole chickens and itβs perfect. Blade is super sharp right out of the box, glides through joints like butter. The hammered finish actually does help with food sticking, noticed it right away on some beef I trimmed. Leather sheath is a nice touch too, feels premium. Been using it almost daily for 2 weeks now and still sharp as hell.
This is a great little cleaver, really well made and sharp. My only thing is the handle shape, its a bit blocky for my hand. Took a day or two to get used to it but now its fine. Definitely recommend it for the price.
Its a decent knife. Does the job cutting through chicken bones and stuff. I guess I was expecting it to feel a bit more substantial or premium for the money? Its good, not great. I'll keep using it but I'm not blown away.
Got this for my husband who's a big griller. He absolutely loves it. Said it went through pork ribs like butter and the leather sheath is a nice touch.
Got this for my husband who's a big griller. He's used it on ribs and pork shoulder a few times now and is obsessed. Says the weight is perfect for getting through joints and the leather sheath is a nice touch. Came super sharp and still is.
I was looking for a small cleaver for breaking down chickens and this is it. The hand hammered finish is beautiful and it really does help with sticking. For the price I cant believe how good it is. Massive upgrade from the cheapo hardware store knife I was using before.
Used it on a camping trip to process some game. Held up great and the sheath protected it in my pack. Exactly what I was looking for.
Birthday present for the wife who loves to cook. She was thrilled. She says it's her new favorite tool for prepping roasts. The rosewood is beautiful.
Bought this for my dad for fathers day. He's used it on a few fishing trips already to clean fish and says its holding its edge really well. He's super happy with it.

Best investment Iβve made in my kitchen
This knife is exactly what I was looking for. Itβs sharp, well-made, and handles a variety of kitchen tasks with ease. The blade is great for all sorts of tasks, from slicing to chopping, though I did find that it needs regular honing to stay sharp. The handle is comfortable and provides a good grip, though it could be a bit more ergonomic for better comfort during long cooking sessions. Despite these small issues, itβs a solid knife thatβs become a staple in my kitchen.
I canβt believe how easy this knife makes everything. Itβs like cutting through butter.
This knife performs exactly as I hoped it would. Itβs sharp, easy to handle, and has a nice weight to it. The blade is well-crafted and offers good precision, though it does require regular sharpening to stay in top condition. The handle is comfortable and provides a secure grip, but I think it could be slightly more ergonomic for better comfort during long cooking sessions. Despite these minor drawbacks, itβs a great knife thatβs well worth the investment.
