Step 1: Rinse
Warm water and mild soap after each use. Never put your knife in the dishwasher; the harsh detergents and jostling will damage the edge and handle.
Step 2: Dry
Towel dry immediately. Don't leave it wet or in the sink; even stainless steel can develop spots if left damp.
Step 3: Store
Use a knife block, magnetic strip, or blade guard. Never toss it loose in a drawer; it dulls the edge and is a safety hazard.
That's it. No special maintenance, no fussy rituals. Your Shimeru knife is designed for daily use, and with these three steps it'll stay razor-sharp for years.
Every knife comes in its own presentation box, ready to give as a gift.

SaleReally solid knife for the price. The AUS10 holds an edge nicely, used it for a couple weeks of weekly meal prep and its still sharp. My only wish is the handle was a touch bigger, I have larger hands and it feels a little small after a while of chopping. Still a great veggie knife though, no regrets.
got this nakiri for my wife who cooks way more than me and she loves it. the blade is stupid sharp out of the box, makes slicing through carrots and potatoes feel like nothing. the hammered finish actually works, stuff doesnt stick like it does on my old cheap knives. honestly thinking about getting one for myself now.
So I got this to replace an old cheap nakiri I had. Its sharp enough and cuts decent but honestly I was expecting a bit more from AUS10 steel. It holds the edge ok but not amazing. The hammered finish is nice, food doesnt stick as much. For $75 its fine, just dont think its anything special.
Really solid knife for the price. The edge out of the box was razor sharp and it handled a pile of onions like nothing. Only thing is the handle is a bit squared off for my grip, took a few days to get used to it. But overall it's a great nakiri for vegetable prep, would recommend.
Solid knife overall. The blade is super sharp right out of the box and the hammered finish really does help keep stuff from sticking to it when I'm dicing onions. My only gripe is the handleβkinda wish it was a bit thicker, feels a little skinny in my hand. But thats just personal preference, still a great knife for the money.
Its ok for what it is. Cuts veggies fine but I thought it would feel more premium for $75. The edge is good but not mind blowing, Ive had cheaper knives that slice just as well. The hammered look is nice though and it does the job, just not sure it's worth the hype. Probably keep it as a backup.
Got this for my wife who does all the cooking and she loves it. Said its way better than the knives shes been using for years. The blade is really thin and cuts through onions without making her cry cause it doesnt crush them, just glides through. She uses it every day now and says the handle feels comfortable even after chopping a bunch of stuff. Its a good price for what you get, feels solid not cheap at all. Came in a nice box too which was a bonus.
So I finally switched from my old chef's knife to a nakiri and this thing is awesome. The flat edge makes chopping veggies so much faster, no rocking motion just straight up and down work. It came sharp as hell out of the box, I sliced through a butternut squash like it was butter. The hammered finish is nice too, stuff slides right off the blade. Had it about a month now and edge is still holding up great. Def recommend if you do a lot of veggie prep.
Really nice knife overall. The blade is super sharp right out of the box, cuts through carrots and sweet potatoes like butter. I do wish the handle was a little thicker though, it feels a bit thin in my hand. But after a few days I got used to it. Minor thing really, still a great buy for the price.
I was a little nervous ordering a knife online but this one is great. The edge is incredible, I barely have to use any pressure. It's become my go-to for all my vegetable prep.
Been using this for 3 weeks now, still sharp as the day it came. I use it mostly for dicing potatoes and celery for soups. Handle has a good grip, doesn't slip even when my hands are wet.
Bought this for my husband who loves to cook. He's been using it every day and says it's the best knife he's ever owned. The balance is perfect and it makes chopping veggies so much faster. Came in a nice box which was a plus since it was a gift.
So I got this to replace my old dull chef's knife and wow, it's a whole different world. The thing just falls through onions and potatoes, I cant believe how sharp it is out of the box. The hammered finish on the blade looks really cool too. Been using it for a couple weeks now and its still razor sharp, holds an edge great.
Got this as a birthday present for myself. Best decision. The AUS10 steel seems to hold an edge really well, I haven't had to sharpen it yet. Makes cooking way more fun.
Love this knife. The flat blade is perfect for chopping, you can just go up and down. My herbs don't get bruised anymore. Arrived super fast and was packaged really well.
Really like this knife, it's super sharp and feels great in the hand. My only minor thing is the handle shape, it's a little rounder than I'm used to so it took a day or two to get comfortable with my grip. But the performance is excellent, definitely recommend it.
Does exactly what it says. Veggie prep is a breeze. I gave it 4 stars because I feel like it could have come with a simple edge guard or something for storage. Not a big deal, I bought one separately.
