Step 1: Rinse
Warm water and mild soap after each use. Never put your knife in the dishwasher; the harsh detergents and jostling will damage the edge and handle.
Step 2: Dry
Towel dry immediately. Don't leave it wet or in the sink; even stainless steel can develop spots if left damp.
Step 3: Store
Use a knife block, magnetic strip, or blade guard. Never toss it loose in a drawer; it dulls the edge and is a safety hazard.
That's it. No special maintenance, no fussy rituals. Your Shimeru knife is designed for daily use, and with these three steps it'll stay razor-sharp for years.
Every knife comes in its own presentation box, ready to give as a gift.

SaleI got this for my girlfriend who does a lot of veggie prep and she absolutely loves it. She keeps raving about how thin the blade is and how clean the cuts are. The handle is comfortable too, shes got smaller hands and it fits her just right. Came in a nice box which was a bonus. Honestly for $75 its a steal, feels like something that would cost double.
Ok so Ive been wanting a nakiri for a while and this one looked like a good middle ground price wise. Really glad I pulled the trigger. Its crazy sharp out of the box, sliced through carrots like butter. Used it to make a big batch of coleslaw and it shredded the cabbage faster than my old chef knife ever could. The flat profile took a day to get used to but now I love it for chopping. Feels solid in the hand, good weight. Only had it a month but no complaints so far.
So I got this nakiri because I wanted something better than my old henckels for veggies. It is sharp out of the box and makes decent cuts but for 75 bucks I kinda expected more. The handle feels a bit too light for me and its not as comfortable as I thought itd be after using it for a couple weeks. It does a good job on onions and carrots but I'm not blown away or anything. Maybe I just need to get used to it but it feels like a solid middle-of-the-road knife not amazing.
Really nice knife for veggies. The edge is super sharp out of the box, glides through carrots like butter. Only thing is the handle feels a little slick when my hands are wet, wish it had a bit more texture. But overall its a solid buy for the price.
Ok so this knife is decent for the price I guess. It cuts vegetables fine but I was expecting a bit more given all the hype around Japanese knives. The edge is sharp but doesnt feel like it holds it as long as I hoped after using it for a few weeks. The handle is comfortable enough though nothing special. Its okay but not amazing.
Got this nakiri a few weeks ago and honestly its the best knife Ive ever used for veggies. The flat blade makes chopping onions and garlic so much quicker than my old chef's knife. Its super sharp right out of the box, cuts through tomatoes like butter without squishing them. The handle feels nice and balanced too, not too heavy not too light. Definitely a step up from the cheap stuff I had before.
Ok so I was a little nervous buying a knife online but this one is legit. The handle feels really solid in my hand and the blade is crazy sharp. Came in a nice box too.
Ok so i got this to replace my old cheap santoku and wow. The edge on this thing is insane, it just glides through onions and peppers like nothing. I use it for all my veggie prep now, makes dinner so much faster. Handle feels solid too, no complaints at all.
I got this to replace a cheap santoku from a big box store. The difference is night and day. The steel feels substantial and it sharpened up beautifully on my whetstone.
It's a decent knife. Does the job chopping vegetables, edge was sharp when it arrived. I guess I was expecting a bit more for the price? It feels a little light and maybe not as substantial as I thought it would. It's fine, just not amazing. I'll keep using it.
The finish on the blade is really nice. It feels like a quality tool. I've had no issues with food sticking to it either.
Bought this on a whim and I'm so glad I did. It's become my go-to for all vegetable work. The edge is still perfect after a month of home use.
I was a little nervous ordering a knife online but this one is perfect. It's so light and balanced, my wrist doesn't get tired chopping a mountain of carrots or potatoes. The steel seems really good, been using it for a month and it's still super sharp. Just a great little nakiri.
Bought this for my husband who loves to cook and he hasn't put it down. He says the flat profile is perfect for chopping herbs and the sharpness is incredible right out of the box. Came in a nice box, looked really classy. Great value for the money.
I was looking for a good veggie knife without spending a fortune. This is it. The blade profile is ideal for push cutting and it's just a pleasure to use.
Best knife I've ever owned! Perfect for every kitchen task.
This knife is a solid choice for any kitchen. Itβs sharp, durable, and handles a variety of tasks with ease.
Iβm happy with how this knife performs. Itβs sharp, comfortable to use, and seems like it will last a long time.
The quality is top-notch, highly recommended
Iβve been impressed with this knife. Itβs sharp, comfortable to hold, and seems built to last. The blade is precise and handles a variety of tasks with ease, though it does require frequent sharpening to maintain its edge. The handle is well-designed and provides a secure grip, but I think it could be slightly more cushioned for better comfort during extended use. Overall, itβs a reliable knife thatβs worth the investment, even if it does need a bit of upkeep.
Perfectly balanced and razor-sharp. Can't recommend enough.
Iβve never had a knife that stays this sharp for so long. Itβs an absolute game-changer in the kitchen.

I canβt believe how easy this knife makes everything. Itβs like cutting through butter.
Iβm very satisfied with this knife. Itβs sharp, well-made, and has a good weight to it, making it easy to control. The blade is great for all sorts of tasks, from slicing vegetables to cutting through meat, though it does need regular sharpening to maintain its performance. The handle is comfortable, but I think it could benefit from a slightly more ergonomic design for better long-term use. Despite these minor issues, itβs a great knife thatβs become an essential tool in my kitchen.
